Mr Pavlos A. Pavlakis, MD, DIURC, is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in robotic pelvic uro-oncology, robotic reconstruction and advanced minimally invasive urology, with particular expertise in prostate and bladder cancer. A graduate of the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’, he went on to complete advanced robotic surgical training in Paris, where he obtained the DIURC – Diplôme Inter-Universitaire de Robotique Chirurgicale at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie. His career has taken him to leading hospitals in Athens, Stockholm, the United Kingdom and Belgium. He is now Consultant Urological Surgeon and Lead Consultant for the Robotic Cystectomy Programme at Southend University Hospital, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, and also sees patients privately at Cromwell Hospital in London and at locations in Greece.
